BACKED BY RESEARCH.

- Comfort-related strain may contribute to reduced workplace physical wellbeing.
Up to
60%
of women experience breast discomfort during physical work impacting comfort, performance and workforce participation.
Bra fitting each
Year
helps maintain accurate sizing, supports long-term comfort and reduces avoidable discomfort-related disruption during extended shifts.
Approximately
85%
of women wear the incorrect bra size - often due to outdated measurements, inconsistent brand sizing or never having received professional fitting.

PPE was designed for men.
Bras were designed for women.
Same job. Same hours. Same conditions.
Different bodies.
It’s time PPE caught up.
- Women have been making do with base-layers never designed for the demands of the job.
- Not all bras are created equal - most were built for short-term wear, not 10+ hour shifts.

"This bra exceeded my expectations. It is exceptionally comfortable, lightweight and ideal for all-day wear. I thought underwire bras were for support but was amazed how well this design performed. Excellent fit, soft and breathable. It's quickly become my "go-to bra" and I highly recommend it!"

"Being fitted & supplied with the right bra for my job was a game-changer. I’m on my feet all day in the medical field and for the first time ever, taking off my bra isn’t the first thing I want to do when I get home!"

"As a qualified Occupational Therapist, the importance of proper support for women in shiftwork is essential. I'm thrilled to see a company bringing a curated range of bras to the workplace along with professional fitting. It's really understanding women’s needs & supporting their wellbeing at work."

Strength
is in the Unseen.
For more than 25 years, Catherine has worked across business ownership, operations and principal-level recruitment and has a deep, practical understanding of business and site life. For many years, a side business fitting and selling bras on the weekends revealed a pattern she couldn't ignore -women working FIFO consistently asked for help to find a comfortable, supportive bra suitable for 12hr shifts.
Alongside her recruitment career (15 years in the Resources sector), Catherine knew exactly what their working lives looked like. She understood the environment, the demands of the role and the gap in PPE provisioning that had gone largely unaddressed. Women on long, extended shifts were required to self-source bras not designed for the realities of the role - a shortfall in PPE supply that can contribute to physical discomfort, distraction and operational strain.
Drawing on firsthand insight into site conditions and operational demands, Catherine developed a long-term vision for a workforce-focused base-layer solution and founded Undercover Essentials to turn that vision into a structured business - a specialist supplier of essential support bras with professional fit verification, designed specifically to help employers meet their PPE obligations for women in frontline, shift and operational roles
Alongside her is Jocelyn, a trusted friend of 40 years, who brings expertise in contracts administration and systems management to the business. The business is built on more than four decades of combined experience, a lifelong friendship and a shared commitment to doing better for women at work.

TRUSTED SOURCES.
Women live it, wear it and feel it! Expert research simply backs it up.

"I was trying to exercise and experiencing significant breast pain. It lasted day and night. My doctor said, “You need a good bra.” When I started to investigate what makes a good bra, I was really disappointed by the lack of knowledge of breast biomechanics."
Joanna Wakefield-Scurr,
Professor in Biomechanics,
Faculty of Science and Health

"There is plenty of research to show that wearing low breast support leads to increased breast pain and reduced movement efficiency during exercise or physical activity,"
Amy Sanchez, Senior Research Assoc.in Biomechanics -
Breast Health, University of Portsmouth

'"One thing that really surprised me when I started research in this area, was how little women know about their breasts. Many don’t know what they’re made of, or how a bra works and how it should fit.’"
Joanna Wakefield-Scurr, Professor in Biomechanics,
Faculty of Science and Health

“The Mining industry has under-represented women in occupational safety and health research, including access to properly fitting PPE.”
